Hi Experts,

I have given the GMAT exam twice. Scores as below:
1. 590 (V31 Q42) 6th May 2019
2. 610 (V35 Q36) 19th August 2019

Prep sources:
E gmat
Manhattan SC

Scores in last 3 mock tests
650- E gmat
650- Veritas
700- Gmat official pack 5

I am really dejected after these 2 failed attempts. My aim is to get a score of 650-680
Need advice on how to improve. I am half inclined to give up my mba aspirations after this debacle.

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day did not turn out better. GMAC has publicly stated that the Official Score that you earn on Test Day is within +/- 30 points of actual ability. Your 2 Official Scores show that you essentially performed the same each time (about 600 +/- a few Scaled Score points). You handle certain aspects of the GMAT consistently well, but you also make certain consistent mistakes. As it stands, you're actually closer to a 650+ than you probably realize, but you'll have to make significant improvements to how you handle BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections to lock in that higher Score on Test Day.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How long did you study before each of your 2 Official GMATs How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What specific study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
5) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

You might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.
