Correct answer must be (D) for the highlighted errors in other options...

Hi,

Although the question seem a little longer and detailed than usual official questions. Here is my breakdown:

We see that the the subject here are the songs by Beatles. Their 'songs' are being compared with the songs of other bands and not the other bands. Plus, we notice the word comparison word 'more' which is generally followed by 'than'. Therefore.

A. than any wrong as songs here are being compared with other bands, which is wrong
B. than any other wrong as per the logic applied in statement A
C. compared to those of any it fails to include the word other after any, making it seem like comparison is done including beatles as well, how can beatles be compared to itself. their songs will be different that the songs of other bands
D. than those of any other correct as songs here are correctly compared with the songs of other bands
E. as have those of any. wrong and the sentence does not make any sense.

Hope it's clear.

Please consider giving upvotes if you found the explanation useful.

The comparitive word More should be followed by than, and the compared entities should be similar. Option D satisfies both these rules .

As this is a comparison question, and we are comparing Songs of Beatles Vs. Other Songs, usage of "Those" is required.

Next, as we can see the word "more" the word "than" is required for the correct answer.

Hence, Answer is D
