used for clothing, its antlers and bones for tools, and
its sinews and gut
for bindings and glue.

(A) deer: it was a source of meat, and its hide was
used for clothing, its antlers and bones for
tools, and its sinews and gut
(B) deer: it was a source of meat, and its hide used
for clothing, with its antlers and bones for
tools, and its sinews and gut used
(C) deer: which was a source of meat, with its hide
used for clothing, antlers and bones for tools,
as well as its sinews and gut used

its hide was used for clothing, its antlers and
bones for tools, and its sinews and gut were

A is best here. 1.5 min
C and D are out because "which" introduces a relative clause. We need an independent clause after the colon.
E is out because "with" introduces a prepositional phrase
B is out because it lacks parallelism: and its hide...with its antlers... and its sinews...

I will go with A.
Choice is between A and C.
I prefer "deer:it" to "deer: which"

B "with" is wrongly used
D - being is not // to the rest

Answer Choice "A". Narrowed it down to A and C. D and E is wrong becuase of "being". B is wrong because it lacks parallelism.

Questions:

- I saw the post on "which" is wrong because it introduces a "dependant clause". Are we saying that after a "semi-colon" you can never have a which? Can anyone elaborate, pls.

This is my 2nd post so if i'm not following any gmatclub (n)etiquette my apologies in advance....

Took a risk - as I did not find anything wrong with A, I concluded the answer to be A

(45s...Paul, I beat your timing on this! )
