Hi all,

I have undergone GMAT twice and scored 550 and 630. I am planning to undergo GMAT one more time, in a matter of 5 weeks, and boost my score with another 60-80 points.

My weakness are low score in verbal (31) and DS.

Please..Please..Please..Help and suggest a plan...:(

Well... Well.. Well...

Here I am, back to where it all started.

BTW I regret not to updates my status since very long. Apparently, I got through GLIM Chennai and completed by Exec MBA in 2013 :D

Apparently, I visited GMATClub after 2+ years, everything looks as is :D I tried my hands on couple of questions in Quants and found myself, still, addicted :)

Planning to stay connected forever...

Hey,

With a heart full of emotions I started to point out my mistakes and to prepare for GMAT once again. Since past 1.5 week, I have been eating QUANT section and spending more time on GMATCLUB :-) Though my QUANT is about 47, I wanted to make it rock soild. With this aim, I purchased TGM and, no surprise, it lives upto its mark. I will recommend this book to everyone.

I read someone's post stating "GMAT is an addiction", I agree it truely is :-) In 1.5 week I completed TGM, with all exercises, and OG 12 QUANT questions. This showcase my passion to add another name in 700+ list. With QUANT under my belt, I gave GMAT Prep 1 (I have undegone it multiple time) and scored 750 :-) I am happy to see my QUANT score reaching 50 (First time ever since I fallen in love with the beast).

I will start off with VERBAL to maintain my target score and achieve it once and for ever.

Will keep everyone posted about my progress !!!

Hello folks,

I gave GMAT Prep 2 today and scored pleasing 710 (Q50 V36). I was quite satisfied to score Q50 twice in a row. Since GMAT Prep 1, I wasn't able to concentrate on my studies, but I had spent a lot of time on GMATCLUB. I am filled with enthu and motivated to please my lover (GMAT) :-)

BTW I received my official score card, for last exam, and scored 5 in AWA.

All thanks to GMATCLUB and its members !!

I would start calling Indian's as native Quat Gurus :-D Still for Quat, I will strongly recommend Total GMAT Math - By Jeff Sackmann.

For verbal Currently I am reviewing
1. SC - Grail & MGMAT SC (Deadly combination)
2. CR - Power score
3. RC - No books, no skimming and no nothing. Just reading, reading and more reading :-)

for Sc and quant i am solely depending on MGMAT....Hope that will make the difference..

Almost same score...have to give third time too..!!!

Past week was not so good, for my prep, due to week of festival in India :-) Eventhough I spend a lot of time on GMATClub and tried to focus on SC section.

I planned to undergo MGMAT 1 today, but left QUANT section half done. Took 30 mins break and recollected my enthu and tried to gain my focus. I started with verbal and secured 39 :-)

I am happy to see my verbal score growing and hope it will remain as is. Overall score in MGMAT1 - 560 Q28 V39

Hi Mindreko,

TGM is amazing book and you can read its reviews on forum. Few bullets to mention
- Teaches you good tips and tricks to solve questions
- Exercises are quite different than concepts explained in chapters
- Amazed to see why resolution section has been marked as a chapter :?:

All in all, TGM is good book and a must buy :-)

Whats your target?

Do you know colleges weigh your profile more than your GMAT score?

hi
yes i know that gmat score is a just a part of appllication but still i wanna have a good score for stronger approach.i a marine engineer working on oil tankers for last 5 years.i am good in quant scoring 50 regularly,but my verbal is very poor never scored more than 31..if can suggest me some good books on verbal..i have mgmat full set.but i didnt like its rc and cr approach.

Hi,

You have a great background and may attract selectors :-)

- For SC MGMAT and GRAIL SC are best.
- For CR Powerscore CR is preffered choice.
- For RC you should spend lot of time reading.

There are many startegies described by BB and you could use any.

Hello guys,

I got busy with application process and dint get time to update my status :) I applied to ISB and Great Lakes Chennai. I was not short listed by ISB and got dinged by Great Lakes after GD/PI...

Any ways, I guess my road to success is under construction and I have to meet my best friend, GMAT, once again.

So here I am all set to prepare for my next engagement :)
