Hello! I've taken the GMAT once and scored horribly...I am looking to take the exam next Spring and apply to B-school for Fall 2008 admission. I have to score well on the GMAT to get into a top 25 school and have plenty of time to prepare. Anyone have any strategies for studying for the GMAT? My weakest area is Quantitative. I am planning on brushing up on my Verbal as well.

I think 3 months of concentrated work is better than 6 months of casual effort. However the former may not work for you if you have other work commitments etc.

Do a search, there are many strategies listed here for different parts of the test.

If you read through the forum postings, which should be doable given you have the time, you'll be able to formulate a good base plan. Then you can come back and ask for help in tweaking it.

Hope this helps.
