# 60 raw scores?

Is it actually possible to get a 60 raw score on any one section? I've heard of people scoring well with raw scores of 51(99%). What does a 60 truly mean? Does it mean that you answered every single question the computer program gives you correctly?

Or is 60 a mere impossibility, but is some sort of marketing technique("okay, so you might be in the 99.9%, but you only got a 55 out of 60 on our exam") for ETS to self-inflate its value?

GMAC is explicit: "Verbal and quantitative scores range from 0 to 60 . . ."
Of course, V scores above 44 and Q above 50 are rare. Please note that the term "raw score" usually has a specialized meaning in this context.
