610 on GMAT - did not finish quant section! [#permalink]

Hi. I recently took the GMAT and got a 610! Here's the breakdown:
Verbal: 38/84%
Quant: 36/48%

Worst part was that I did not finish the last 3 questions in the Quant section (I didn't even have time to guess!). I've heard that the penalty for not answering is something like 4 times worse than getting a question wrong.

I am wondering if anyone can give me an estimate of where my Quant score would be if I had answered the last 3 questions (even if I got them wrong). This would help me gauge my current math level and see how much more effort I have to put into studying (besides learning how to pace!).

Thanks!

Sorry this isn't in response to your question, but I took the gmat and scored a 610, quant 37 and math verbal 36,

q 53% v 80%

What gives in the difference in score?

Hi Boggin. Sorry I had put down the wrong math score (46 instead of 36) but correct percentage (48%) - I have corrected this in my original post. Anyway I think that explains why we have a similar total score.
