620 is the score and I was surprisedI started my GMAT journey on 01st Oct 2021. I took some help from local offline courses and started my preparation. The experience was not so good as these offline courses will tell you to practice more and more questions to improve efficiency and to score good marks. I followed the same procedure. I was scoring 670-690 in the mocks and decided to give my first attempt on 25th March 2022. I failed badly. After 620 score, I thought that something is wrong in my approach or maybe I was not focusing on the core issue.
I talked with some of my friends and then I realized that GMAT is a different exam, which needs to be tackled with different approach and mindset. Traditional courses won’t help. I came to know about
E-Gmat and decided to go for it. One of the best decision of my life I can say.
Journey after 620:
I scored a good 51 in Quant so the focus for me was Verbal.
E-Gmat with their structured course chartered a path for me. It was a personalized study program that is well suited for an individual like me.
I am writing this de-brief so that one should not make some avoidable mistakes.I started completing the basic course of SC. After I completed the course, I started solving medium level questions. I was doing well but not able to cross the threshold. I went on to the CR portion.
Mistake :
E-Gmat has a very structured program. An individual need to follow the path as specified in the study program. I made a mistake and jumped to CR before having full command on SC. Please avoid such mistake.
I did fairly well in CR but I was stucked in hard level questions of CR. I started RC in between. After completing all three sections, I took some mock and scored 670-680. I was not able to understand the reason for the low score. I was stagnated at 680 and not able to breach this threshold.
I was contacted by
E-Gmat for their Last Mile Program (LMP). I decided to take it. Rashmi from
E-Gmat helped me to navigate through the stagnation point. She prepared a hyper specific plan for me and guide me through my journey.
E-Gmat LMP showed me a new light. She talked with me and helped me understand the issue in my preparation. She asked me to review the course section by section. I again took SC and star understanding the basic concepts. Some personized video suggested by Rashmi helped me a lot. Then she asked me to review already attempted questions only. I followed the path but became frustrated with the old questions. I doubted this methodology sometimes, but the beauty of the course is the strategic review of the questions. This moment is the pivotal point for me in my GMAT journey.
The quality of questions and their explanation available at
E-Gmat specialized platform Scholaranium 2.0 guide me towards my success. After the strategic review, I understand the core issue. Review is most important. GMAT is not about the multiple number of questions attempted but about how well you understood the technicality in that question. After following this path , I was able to cross the threshold of the hard level question in SC CR and RC. I attempted 3 mock and was able to score 710 to 720. I gave my second attempt and score 730 (Q49, V 39). This is how precise their mock test are.
Important points to note:-1) Follow
E-gmat structure.
2) SC- Follow
E-GMAT meaning based approach rather than short tricks. This approach will solidify the grounds for hard-level questions.
3) Don’t underestimate Quant.
E-GMAT quant questions quality is upto the notch.
4)
E-GMAT PACE module will save time in Quant.
5) CR- Follow the pre-thinking approach with sincerity. Once you master this approach, no CR question will look hard.
6) Believe in the experts. They know what they are doing.
