got a 640 42Q and 36V

needless to say I have no clue what is wrong with me, i couldnt sleep the night before and was running fever..

here are cat scores
MGMAT 660 44Q 35V
MGMAT 670 46Q 36V
MGMAT 720 47Q 42V
MGMAT 760 50Q 42V

Gmatprep 730-770 taken it 4-5 times ..i have taken the gmatclub tests and ranged from 60% to 100%!

i have no clue what on earth is going on with math..really! i had some combinatric questions on the exam..not simple stuff..

i dont know if i should call gmac and ask them to review my exam..i have no clue what to do anymore..with R2 deadlines around the corner..i am giving up hope of applying to b-school all together.

SORRY to hear that.. !! you really deserve 50+ on quant.
Your health factor is major reason for your lower score on Quant.

I noticed that some time you make silly mistakes on Quant. Please read the math problems carefully(take more time).

Don't loose hope.. you can easily break 700

I definitely believe that u have a potential to kick 6 and replace it with 7.
I hate the 6 that lead other 2 numbers!

Fred, sorry to hear about that. Definitely, you deserve 700+. Your effort, prep, and time are not paid off.

Identify your weak area and focus on the same. Needs error log as well.
You have a decent verbal score but math pulled you down.

Good luck ......

42Q is way bit low and any improvement there could get you to the 700 level. If I were you I would spend all the energies learning/practicing number properties to the extent that you almost never make any mistake in it. Also, I would repeat the GMAT club challenges and this time the goal is not to make any mistakes there - meaning spending plenty time on questions/concepts you don't get right!

For CR, get hold of some of those LSAT paper tests (don't have'em send me a message and I'll email you a copy) and may be improve your SCs to have more time available for CRs!

You should see a difference in your confidence and skill level before you register/take the next test, that is if higher score is something mandatory for you.

You arent that far from your goals, don't give up on them.

Wish you luck!

Just looked at forum... Sorry to hear such news :( Q42? I don't believe. It was just not your day. You should carefully analyze what happened: lack of concentration, some special area of math and so on. I don't think GMAC was wrong. Rather you made a few silly mistakes. If you need any help, PM me in any time.

Good luck!

sorry to hear that buddy. Still apply and retake in 4 weeks and send in an updated score after the deadline. Even if you bump it up 40 points you will be right there.

You have 30 days study hard.

Also applying with a 640 to a top school doesn't mean you are excluded. If you give them compelling reasons to admit you, it won't matter.
