Hi All,
Just a little background. I'm an Indian male with an experience of 1 year. I plan to gain more experience and then apply to business school.
I appeared first for the GMAT in December and scored a dismal 640 (Q48,V30). I prepared again for 5 months and appeared last week. I scored a 660 (Q50,V29).
What I wanted to ask. I plan to apply for MBA in Sustainable Energy or MBA in Sports Management eventually. Is my GMAT score enough for either of the courses? Or should I reappear? Also, how should I build my profile from here on? Is there something specific to keep in mind?
Thank you
Regards.

Bakshi121092,
Thanks for your query.
To gain an understanding of whether the GMAT score is competitive enough, we suggest you research about the average GMAT score for the program in question. As an Indian male, it is almost certain that you will be required to have a score above the average because Indians are an overrepresented group.
With regard to your query on profile building, while we do not have any real information on your work experience, you must definitely look at getting at least a year of work experience, with some concrete professional achievements and leadership experience, if possible. If needed, you could also look at a GMAT retake.
All the best!
Thank you for the reply.
I've done a brief research and for the course on Sports Management, the universities generally look for a 600+. I have no idea about the Sustainable Energy program. Would look into that?
As far as work experience is concerned, I'll definitely work for a couple of years more before applying. But, is entrepreneurial work experience preferable over others?
Thank you.
Regards.
