My GMAT Experience:

FINALLY, today I gave my GMAT. I had originally planned on giving my test around end-of-august, but because of the high amount of business-related travel (travel being a non-count word must have high, not large:)), I had to postpone it, and I finally gave it today.

My profile: 25yr old male from Mumbai, India; studied in a reputed US college with B.S. in computer science, working with a software/robitics company. Basically, all the stereotype image you have about computer engineers from India :d

------
On my practice tests from GMATPrep, I scored 710-720 on both test, with 50 on Quantitative, and 40+ on verbal. So I definitely think I could have done better on verbal, but I am still happy to get 700.

Many many thanks to GMATClub members, particularly RHYME, who has been super-helpful. Here is a low-down of my preparation:

Books:
1) Official Guide to GMAT 11th Edition (OG)
2) Kaplan GMAT 2003
3) Manhattan GMAT Sentence Correction book

Electronic/Other references:
1) SC: Spidey’s Sentence correction notes (http://www.sentencecorrection.com/forum ... =post&id=8)
2) PS & DS: My formula sheet (I will try to get hold of a scanner and post the formula sheet later. edit- formula sheet attached with this post - see below)
3) CR: http://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=30247
4) RC: OG11 & OG10 only
5) Geometry: http://library.thinkquest.org/20991/geo/index.html
6) Permutation/Combination: http://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=30315 (read 3rd post from top – posted by a great member who goes by the nickname ‘walletless’)
7) AWA:
a.) http://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic ... hlight=awa
b.) http://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic ... hlight=awa

Practice Exams:
2) PowerPrep (official – no longer available – I have a soft copy - PM me if you need them) - 3
3) ETS Paper tests (official – available for purchase - have softcopy, but cannot post on gmatclub) - 7
4) I do not recommend any other tests, since they are unofficial, but Kaplan quantitative section is good – don’t give the verbal section from Kaplan – its crap.

##########################
## Initial Preparation ##
#########################

Sentence Correction:
1) First solve about 15 questions from OG11, to get a feel of what the questions look like.
3) Solve another 15 questions from OG11, look over what mistakes you made
4) Read Manhattan GMAT SC book completely – it’s the best reference for SC. Topics are very nicely arranged.
5) Start solving questions in groups of 41 from OG11, and make sure you finish then in less than 75 minutes.

Fall 07. Although one of the schools on my list (Indian School of Business) starts in April, so deadlines are fast approaching for that one.

Great score, thanks for feedback! The allergies advice is great!

Recently I tried studying with my eye watering and sneezing every 5 min. I couldn't concentrate at all!!

Absolutely. Expect me to post it before end of this week. I am on the road today and tomorrow, so as soon as I am back to my office, and have access to scanner, I will post it. It is about 14-15 pages... any suggestions on where to host it? It will be too big to upload on gmatclub.

P.S. The formula sheet has a lot of formula's borowed from Kaplan, but I have added more as I encountered problems on OG11 and GMATPrep, so I think it is fairly comprehensive for gmat.
