Books & materials used: OG12, OGQuant, Kaplan premier. I started with Mcgraw Hill but that book is waaay to simple if u're looking to score 700 +. I also downloaded free full length tests from Manhatten, Veritas, Princeton. I'm thankful that i made full use of days when GMAT club provided free access to their online tests! those were really hard! THANK YOU GMAT CLUB!
Test scores you received along the way (your diagnostic test score, mid-point, comparison to your final performance, etc.): i didn't do too well on all my diagnostic tests. my first score was 550 (the exam is 3 hrs long and i fell asleep reading a passage about art history..zzz), subsequent scores were 600-680. I hit 720 once on Kaplan test. Last gmatprep score was 640.
Length of study: Oct -Nov
General strategy: Oct - reviewed Quant; Nov - reviewed verbal; 2 weeks before the exam, i started practicing papers online- to get used to taking an exam on computer. my first!
Words of Advice: get your fundamentals right. it'll serve u well when u hit 700+ qns. practice the
OG and practice full length tests as much as possible to train stamina and time management! look through forums for really tough 700+ qns!
Finally, my test experience was the most horrible experience of my entire life. I thought i developed stress-induced ulcers during the exam. Most, if not all of the qns were tough! the first math qns was tough and that was suppose to be a 50/50 qns! i had 1 probability qns which i'm quite sure i got that correct. i had to guess the last few qns for both verbal and quant as i ran out of time
but i'm really happy with my score. it came as a big surprise as i gave up hoping to score more than 700 as my practice scores were about 650. The qns in the exam were so tough, i tot i was gg to get a low 600.
