10 days enough to go through entire OG? [#permalink]

Hi guys,

Based on past experience, is it possible to go through entire OG in 10 days? I'm thinking 4 days of 3 hr. and remaining 6 days of 5-6 hr. study. This is in addition to the ~1 month I'll be studying with Knewton.

Or, would you guys recommend me to do a few sets (20-30) of OG problems while I'm in the Knewton course?

Thanks.

I think you could get through the questions, but for maximum benefit, you will want to carefully review all errors. I personally find this more time consuming than doing the questions themselves. Ten days may be sufficient depending on your base level.

I agree with pike, it all depends on your base level. And remember, the last 50 or so questions in OG are about the 700 level. The first 70 or more are pretty basic. I was able to go through the first 70 questions in less than 3 hours and I was writing the solutions down on a tablet and editing and stuff.

I agree with the two replies. It is definitely possible to go through all the questions, but you will want to review every error in detail to make sure that you will not make the same mistake next time. I found it useful to keep track of all the questions using a spreadsheet. This allowed me to see my "hit rate" on various types of problems, and it clearly indicated to me that sentence correction (in particular the subjunctive mood) was my weakness.

Thanks for the replies, guys.

I will aim for 100% coverage of OG, but with the score I need I should be fine going through 80% of the material.
