Question: At what price will the chair be offered for sale?

Given:
A $100 chair is increased in price by 50 percent. = $ 100 x 1.5 = $ 150 (New Price)
The chair is then discounted by 50 percent of the new price. = $150 x 0.5 = $ 75 (Discounted Sale Price)

Answer Option D is Correct.

A. $150
B. $125
C. $100
D. $75
E. $50

initial price 100

50% increase = 100*1.5 = 150

50% decrease = 150*.5 = 75
IMO D
