A candy manufacturer decreases the weight of a candy bar by 20% but keeps the price same. What was the resultant increase in price of the candy bar?

A. 5%
B. 10%
C. 15%
D. 20%
E. 25%

Assume Inital price 100 Cents and weight 100gms

100 gm --- cost 100 cents
20% decrease
80 gm -- supposted to be 80 cents.
but he kept price same.
80 gm - cost 100 cents.

resultant increase = 100-80/80= 25%

E.

((x - 4/5x) / 4/5x) * 100 = 25%
