television ---> 8
newspaper ---> 3
magazine ---> 2

statement 1

television ---> 8 ---> 18,750+x or (x/3)*8
newspaper ---> 3 ---> x
magazine ---> 2 ---> (x/3)*2

from that we can conclude that:

18,750+x = (x/3)*8

18,750*3+3*x = 8*x

(18,750*3)/5 = x

x = 11,250

sufficient

statement 2

television ---> 8 ---> (7500/2)*8
newspaper ---> 3 ---> (7,500/2)*3
magazine ---> 2 ---> 7500/2

can be solved !

sufficient

S1.

8/3=x+18750/x ---> 8x=3x+56250 5x=56250 x=11250

7*11250/3 =26250

S2: 2x=7500
x=3750. 3750/2*7=26250.
