Probability of red marble = r/(b+r+w)
Probability of white marble = w/(b+r+w)

We need to find whether r > w.

From stmt1: r/(b+w) + 1 > w/(b+r) + 1
or, (r+b+w)/(b+w) > (r+b+w)/(b+r)
or, b+w < b+r
or, w < r....sufficient to answer the question.
