1. Find the greatest and the smallest possible X.
2. How many X lie between the two, ends being included.
3. How many X lie between the two, ends being excluded.

you have correctly found 2 and 18 (the smallets and the largert whole X)

2. should read: how many integers are there between 2 and 18, ends being included?
