A. 5

D. 15

Total new number of marbles = 60+40 = 100.
x-number of favorite color (green) added
new number of green = 30%*100 = 0.3*100=30
x=30-15=15

Answer D.

Going with D.
I was confused fav is red or green.
But we dont have any answer choice for red.
So green is fav and answer is 15 .

D.

Total (initially) = 60
Total Green (initially) = 15

Total (Finally after receiving 40 more) = 100
Totalt Green required = 30% of 100 = 30

But, the child already have 15 Green so he need 15 more.

Therefore, 15 must be green out of 40.

15/60=25%
?/100=30% ?=30

30-15=15
Hence answer is D
