Hi Bunuel,

The statement "The volume of the cubic boxes is 64 cubic inches" seems bit confusing. The volume of a cubic box can be 64 cubic inches and hence knowing volume of retangular container along with opening we can calculate the no. of cubic boxes that can be shipped.

But What if the there are 64 cubes each with volume of 1 cubic inches then we can ship out 64 Cubes boxes but if there is only cubic box of side 4 inch then we can ship out only 1 box. Then the answer becomes E.

The questions seems to indicate that total volume is 64 cubic inches and we need to ship it in a container. Now St 1 we can have 2 types of container (1*1*1024 and 16*16*4) etc
With 2nd statement we can have the opening size and alone is not sufficient.

Combining we get dimensions of rectangular container as 16*16*4-------> Again if the total volume is 64 cubic inches----> The no. of cubic boxes shipped can be 1 or 64 or 1024/64 ------> 16 boxes....

Shouldn't the answer be E then...

I think you misunderstood the question. The question says that the volume of each box is 64 inch^3.
