I do not know whether this kind of percentage does come in GMAT . I could not find any decent fraction to reduce the equivalent percent.

Using estimation it can be done,

for successive percent change, we can use the equation

a+b+(ab/100)

Here a= -x , b =-x

So taking x = 20

we can get the following result close to 48%

This can be done in two steps

-20-20+(400*/100) = -40+4 =-36

Again -36-20+(36*20/100)= -56+7.2= 48.8%
