As I'm finishing my ED apps, I've got a few random questions:
1) Does Tuck take your highest verbal and highest math score and combine the two as your GMAT score? I have heard (and read) something to this extent, but want to confirm with you.
2) How much weight does MIT Sloan put on quant undergrad work and work experience? Given the quant nature of the undergrad, I would imagine that they'd look more sharply at it than many other schools. However, I have heard of students w/ little quant exp. getting in on the condition that they take a few quant classes before they enroll.
3) The Park Fellow Scholarship at Cornell: do you know what the % of those that apply for it actually wind up getting it?
Thanks Linda!
Sorry I have taken so long to respond. I have been out of the office, and naturally got behind.
1) I have nothing to add to Hjort's response.
2) MIT wants to see evidence that you can handle the quant aspects of its program. There are different ways to provide that evidence. A's in quant classes as an undergrad is certainly one way. Courses prior to matriculation is another.
3) I don't know the percentage. It's not terribly high, but we have worked with people who got it.
Good luck!
