A few things to consider at INSEAD

Just a heads up to all you MBA applicants out there. I'm a few months from graduation at INSEAD and have enjoyed my experience so far, but there are certainly some frustrating points that I think applicants need to know about before applying.
The biggest are that there is a complex, poorly designed and often broken "bidding" system for electives and campus choices. Beware of this since you may not be able to do everything you want - go to both campuses, take all the courses you want, etc. The system frequently breaks down and has been the subject of much discontent here as administrators try to unwaveringly enforce campus choices, etc even if changing your mind at a later date is in the best interest of your career.
The second is that there are some very bad professors. It really is incredible how some of these professors time and time again retain their jobs despite very poor student reviews. Although I have learned a lot generally here, there are some classes that are so bad that they are literally painful to sit through.
This being said, the peer group is unparalleled. Its the people and chance to be in both Asia and Europe that really make this program worthwhile despite these disappointments.
