output = rate * time
find the rate of the first equation

14 = 8 (r*7)
14 = 56r
1/4 = r

We are trying to solve for time (t) in our second equation, and you can use the rate (r) we found earlier to solve
34 = 17 (r*t)
plug in r
34 = 17 (1/4*t)
2 = 1/4t
t = 8
