A jar contains b black, r red and w white marbles. If a marble is selected randomly from the jar, is the probability that it is a red marble greater than the probability that it is a white marble?
(1) r/(b+w) > w/(b+r)
(2) b-w>r

S1. Since all the numbers are positive. And b is a constant.
S2. No relation between r and w is clear here.

Can we be sure that there is a positive number of black marbles? Could b=0 ? They never really specify in the question.
