if x <4 and y <4 then median is 4
if x>7 and y>7 then median is 7
these are the two extreme value of median and hence range will be 3
B

Only possible case can be B

4 4 4 7 y, here the lowest value of x can be 4

4 4 7 7 y, here the highest value of x can be 7

Range of medians can be 7-4 = 3
