shipping company sends out at least 1 ship ship every day = (given)
For a certain seven days, is the total number of the ships departed more than 25?
STATEMENT (1) In one of the seven days, 20 ships departed suppose on 1st day = 20 ships departed 2nd day = 1 (given atleast 1 ship per day) 3rd day = 1 4th day = 1 5th day = 1 6th day = 1 7th day = 1
total minimum ships departed = 26 >25 hence we can give an answer yes SUFFICIENT
STATEMENT (2) The numbers of ships departed are different each day number of ships departed different each day and at least 1 ship every day minimum number of ships departed in 7 days suppose on 1st day =1 ship departed then 2nd day = 2 3rd day = 3 4th day = 4 5th day = 5 6th day = 6 7th day = 7 minimum number of ships departed in 7 days = 28>25 hence we can give an answer yes SUFFICIENT
D is the answer

A maritime shipping company sends out at least 1 ship ship every day. For a certain seven days, is the total number of the ships departed more than 25?(1) In one of the seven days, 20 ships departed. From the given question we know that at least 1 ship departed in a week. If one day out of seven was 20 ships, we assume that other six day there was at least 1 ship... So we've got 20+6=26 ships departed. 26>25 sufficient.(2) The numbers of ships departed are different each day.As departed ship numbers are different, and we have seven days, we can assume numbers: 1 day = 1 ship 2 day = 2 ships 3 day = 3 ships 4 day = 4 ships 5 day = 5 ships 6 day = 6 ships 7 day = 7 ships So, 1+2+3+4+5+6+7=28 28>25 sufficient.D is the answer.

(1) In one of the seven days, 20 ships departed If on the remaining 6 days at least 1 ship is sent, total number of ships will be 26, which is greater than 25. Sufficient. (2) The numbers of ships departed are different each day The least possible sum is sum of numbers 1 to 7, that is 28. 28>25. Sufficient. Ans. D

A maritime shipping company sends out at least 1 ship ship every day. For a certain seven days, is the total number of the ships departed more than 25? (1) In one of the seven days, 20 ships departed. (2) The numbers of ships departed are different each day. Sol: Considering statement (1) alone:Let the number of ships on day 1 were 2 on all other days there were at least 1 ship. Hence, the total number of ships that went out this week = 20 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 26 SUFFICIENTConsidering statement (2) alone:A different number of ships on each day. So, 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 = 28 SUFFICIENTThe answer is (D).

D is the answer because both statements provide enough information to count that more than 25 ships departed for a certain seven days

Answer is D Question is asking whether the no.of shipments is greater than 25 on a certain 7 days and the company sends at least one shipment each day. St. 1 In one of the 7 days 20 shipments was departed. Therefore the least no.of shipments departed for a certain 7 days would be 26 because we have another 6 days left in a week. Yes no.of shipments is greater than 25. Sufficient St. 2 Since the no.of shipments is different each day so it must be greater than 25. Least no.of shipments is 1 and it is different each day, 1+2+3+4+5+6+7=28. Sufficient Answer is D Posted from my mobile device

If every day one ship departs, then minimum number of ships departed during one week is 7. We need to find if a maritime shipping company send at least 26 ships during last week. (1) In one of the seven days, 20 ships departed SUFFICIENT. In one day 20 ships departed. Did 6 more ships departed in 6 days? Yes since everyday company sent at least one ship. (2) The numbers of ships departed are different each day Minimum number departed is one, but number of ships departed are different each day with least number 1. We can assume number of ships departed being 1 to 7. 1+7/2, 4*7=28 in one week. SUFFICIENT Both statement provide information to answer yes to question. D

The answer is A , if on one day 20 ships departed then 20 + 6 ( minimum of 1 per day for all the other 6 days) gives us 26. A is enough, B is not sufficient .

1In one of the seven days, 20 ships departed. If atleast one ship is sent everyday then for the rest of the days a min of 6 ships shipped in total. So we can assume atleast 26 ships sailed. 2The numbers of ships departed are different each day. Let's assume that the min no shipped on any one day is 1. this means that the min total ships will be 1+2+3+4+5+6+7
Do Correct option is D

Answer D Statement i sufficient 20 ship departed one day then balance ship departed at least 6 for 6 days total ship departed=26 sufficient Statement iisufficient Ships departed are different each day 1+2+3+4+5+6+7=28

Answer: D Option 1: one of the seven day 20 ship, so if we take minimum one on remaining days ( as per questions) then total number of ship is 26. Sufficient Optuon 2: each day different number so for seven days total minimum number is 1+2+3+4+5+6+7=28. Sufficient Answer D. Posted from my mobile device

Each day, no. of departures \(\geq{1}\)
Is total no. of departures, say T > 25?
Statement 1: In 1 day, # of departures = 20 Considering 1 departure on each of the other 6 days (as min. 1 departure on any day), T = 20+6 = 26 Sufficient
Statement 2: # of departures different on each day. Min. # of departure on any day = 1 So min. # of departures on each of the 7 days = 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 T = 28 Sufficient
Option (D)

Statement1: In one of the 7 days, 20 ships departed. No matter what day 20 ships departed, we have another 6 days that the company sent out at least 1 ship every day. Let's count: 20+1+1+1+1+1+1=26. For a certain seven days, at least 26 ships departed. Sufficient
Statement2: For a certain seven days, the numbers of ships departed are different each day. Let's count the minimum possible numbers of ships departed for 7 days: 1st day 1 2nd day2 3rd day3 4th day4 5th day5 6th day6 7th day7 Total: 27 ships (more than 25 ships) Sufficient The answer choice is D.

A maritime shipping company sends out at least 1 ship ship every day. For a certain seven days, is the total number of the ships departed more than 25?
(1) In one of the seven days, 20 ships departed. (2) The numbers of ships departed are different each day.
IMO D
We have at least 7 ships departing over the span of seven days because every day at lease 1 ship is sent out by the shipping company
Statement 1 > We have 20 ships departing on anyone of the seven days. The other days at least 1 ship departs. Therefore, the company sends out at least 26 ships over a period of seven days.
Statement 2 > The number of ships that depart are different each day. Since the minimum number of ships departing on any day is 1, therefore the minimum number of ships departing over the period of seven days will be \(1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7\), which is greater than 25

(1) In one of the seven days, 20 ships departed. Total ships departed in that week = 20 + 6*1 = 26 at least (> 25)
Sufficient
(2) The numbers of ships departed are different each day. Minimum departed = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + 6 + 7 = 28 (>25)
Sufficient
IMO Option D

(1) In one of the seven days, 20 ships departed. Since in one of the seven days 20 ships departed, and from question stem we know atleast one ship departed each of the other 6 days. Total ship departed is atleast 26 Sufficient
(2) The numbers of ships departed are different each day. If number of ships departed each day are different, the least number of ship that will depart in those 7 days are 1+2+3+4+5+6+7 = 28. hence it is Sufficient
Answer is D Hi, on point (2), do you think "different each day" might also mean a sequence like this: 1,2,3,1,2,3,1?
