Let the number of Goldfish (GF) be 3x; then the number of Angelfish (AF) is 5x. If she sells 60 GF and buys 300 AF she will have (3x-60) GF and (5x+300) AF. But then the ratio of GF to AF would be 3:7. That is:
(3x-60)/(5x+300)=3/7 or x=220. Thus, the number of GF that she now has is 220*3=660. Ans: D

A. 180
B. 306
C. 330
D. 660
E. 1100

We can let the number of goldfish and angelfish she currently has be 3x and 5x, respectively. Thus we have:

(3x - 60)/(5x + 300) = 3/7

7(3x - 60) = 3(5x + 300)

21x - 420 = 15x + 900

6x = 1320

x = 220

Thus she currently has 3(220) = 660 goldfish.

Answer: D
