Hi folks,

Is it true that the actual GMAT may contain some experimental test questions? If yes, then do these questions have any impact on your scores. What if you guessed on such questions and just moved on ? Would the toughness level of the next question depend on whether you got the experimental question right or not?
I'm asking this because I've seen some exceptionally tough questions in some of the sample tests that I took in the recent past.

Hi iris, yes it is true that you will get experimental questions. However, you will never be able to determine which question is experimental or not. Of course, if one question is way too tough for you, make a good guesstimate and move on.

Just pray that the questions you get wrong are the ones meant for experiment.
Am praying for it.

The validation questions are not included in calculating your score and should not impact subsequent scored questions on the exam.

It is possible to determine which questions are experimental with enough experience but it is best to treat all questions as if they are "real."
