I am working on my essay for HKUST.
One of the topics is "Please tell us a situation where you faced an ethical dilemma. How did you handle the situation." with 200 word limit.
It was really hard to tell a story within 200 words, so I had to omit many aspects of my story.
My question is whether I MUST mention what I learn from the experience illustrated under the topic.
Most MBA admissions books say that I MUST mention what I learned from the experience that I talk about in essays.
But I don't think I can include "what I learn from the experience" with 200 word limit.
Should I write at least one sentence that demonstrates what I learn from the exeprience even though the topic dosen't directly ask about it?
Or is it ok not to mention it because the topic doesn't ask it?
I really need your help.
Thank you for your answer in advance.
I think mentioning lessons learned will really strengthen your essay. So while you are correct that it isn't required based on the question, I still think at least giving one succinct, meaty lesson is advisable.
