25/2 *1/50=1/4 part is completed 3/4 remains

even i was trapped. Did not realise the second part.
12.5 of 50 is 1/4.
so remaining 3/4

Since there are 50 - 12.5 = 17.5 laps left, the fraction of the race remaining is 37.5/50 = 375/500 = 15/20 = 3/4.

Answer: C
