Here the main point is to compare "movies" with "movies" rather than "a movie". So A, & D can be taken out.

B adds "watching" which distorts the parallelism.

E changes the meaning by adding "plot is eccentric". In any case it should have been "plots are eccentric" since "movies" is plural.

So IMO C is the correct answer.

Decision points are
1. Comparison. X rather than Y. As X is plural "movies", so shud Y. A,B and D are out.
2. Second part of the Comparison shud be a phrase, not a clause using verb"is". E is out.
3. Meaning issue. Correct choice shud contain eccentric or unconventional plot not the other way. C is the winner.
