Area of the rectangular floor : 60*40 = 2400

Area of the square tile : 4^2
Area of the rectangular tile : 6*5
Let there be x square tiles and y rectangular tiles.
It has been given that both the square and rectangular tiles are multiples of 12.

Therefore
12x(4^2) + 12y(6*5) =2400
12*2(8x + 15y) = 2400
8x + 15y = 100
Since we need the total number of tiles on the floor x=5,y=4.

The total number of tiles is 12(x+y) = 12*9 = 108(Option C)
