Old area = old length* old width = 2x*x=2x^2
New area = New length* new width = 4x*3x=12x^2

So, New area/Old area = 6

I think A. :)

Area of rectangle = L*W

Old rectangle = 2x*x = \(2x^2\)
New Rectangle = 4X*3x =\( 12x^2\)
New area is 6 times the old area
