Let the base be "b" and "h"..

Pythogoras theorem -
B^2 + h^2 = 10^2
B+h = 12 , squaring both sides we get.

(B+h)^2 = 12^2
B^2 + h^2 + 2bh = 12^2
(12)^2 - 10^2 = 2bh
144-100 = 2bh
Bh = 44/2 => 22

Area of traingle = 0.5 * 22 = 11

Option D...
