Re: A's present age in years is 40% of B's age. In X years, A's age will [#permalink]
let, at present B's age is a
so, A's age is 0.4a
in X years , A's age will be half of B's age
so, a+x = 2*(0.4+x)
or, a=0.2x

in x years, B's age increase x
so, percentage of increase = (x/a)*100 = 0.2*100 = 20

correct answer is D
