Since each client selected 4 cars and each cars was selected thrice therefore total clients came = $$\frac{16*3}{4}=12$$

16 cars each thrice = 48 times
Each client selected 4 cars, So clients = 48/4 = 12

If No car is selected more than once then the number of clients = 16/4 = 4

But since every car is being selected three times so No. of Clients must be thrice as well = 4*3 = 12

First the total number of selections is 16 cars x 3 choices = 48.

Then, 48 chioces / 4 choices per person = 12 people
