original price 1 \$
10% discount 90 cents and carton 27 \$ per carton or 54\$
price is further discounted @ 60% ; 54* .4 = 21.6 \$

(D) \$21.60

Initial discount, = 0.9 (1-10/100*1)

after sale discount of, 60% 0.9 - 0.54 = 0.36

2 Cartons => 60 * 0.36

\$21.60

1 peach--> 1\$
1 peach in cartoon --> 0.9\$
Extra discount--> 0.6*0.9=0.054 // 0.9-0.054=0.36\$/peach in the cartoon
cartoon=30 peaches
result: 2*30=60 peaches bought @ 0.36\$ --> 60*0.36=6*3.6=21.6
