Suppose the value of the stock is 100. After decrease in value, it becomes 100-20=80. Required increase =20. Percentage of required increase=$$\frac{20}{80}*100=25$$% increase. Option C.

consider value of stock be 100\$

so 20% decrease = 100 *.8 = 80

to get back to same level 100-80/80 = 25 %
