A student has 24 questions remaining on an exam. If she has correctly answered 75% of the questions so far, and has to answer at least 75 percent of all the questions on the exam correctly, what is the maximum number of the remaining questions she can answer incorrectly?

We are told that the student has already answered 75% of questions correctly and she needs to keep this percentage level of correct questions. It means that she needs to answer 75% of the remaining questions correctly and then the statistics will be the same.
If there was a condition that her percentage needs to increase to 80%, then we would not be able to solve this question until we knew how many questions she has already answered. But as the percentage is the same, it is not to find.

75% of 24 = 24 * 3 / 4 = 18

We need to find the number of incorrect questions, thus, 24 - 18 = 6.

Assume there are 100 questions.
100-24 = 76 questions were answered by the student.
76 * 0.75 = 57 are correct.

In order to get 75%, the student needs another 18 questions correct.
Hence 24-18 = 6 can be answered incorrectly.
