They are traveling in opposite directions, so their relative speed is their speed added up which is 62 + 48 = 110 per hour. Then in one hour, they would be 110 km apart.

When they meet, the time is the same.

V = D/T

T=D/V

D1/V1=D2/V2

D1= distance travelled by the Dhaka-bound train
V1=Speed of the Dhaka-bound train=62

D2= distance travelled by the Chittagong-bound train
V2= Speed of the Chittagong-bound train=31

D1/62 = D2/48
D1/D2 = 62/48=31/24

Let D1 be 31k, D2 be 24k
Total distance= 31k + 24k= 55k (this means the total distance must be divisible by 55)
Therefore, the answer is D.
