(1) His total wages for the 6 days were \$150.
(2) He was paid 150 percent of his first day’s pay for the sixth day

Lets consider the initial wage to be x.

Hence the wage for the 6 days would be x,x+2,x+4,x+6,x+8,x+10

(1)His total wages for the 6 days were \$150.
x+x+2+x+4+x+6+x+8+x+10 = 150
6x+30=150
6x=120
x=20 Sufficient

(2)He was paid 150 percent of his first day’s pay for the sixth day

150 percent of x is 1.5x
Hence on sixth day the wage would be x+10

1.5x=x+10
x=20
Sufficient

He is paid \$2 more for each day of work than he was paid for the preceding day of work, we have:
p1
p2= p1+2
p3=p2+2=p1+4
p4= p1+6
p5=p1+8
p6=p1+10

(1) His total wages for the 6 days were \$150 -> p1+...+p6=150= 6p1+ 30=150 -> p1=20 -> sufficient

(2) He was paid 150 percent of his first day’s pay for the sixth day -> p6=150%. p1 -> p1+10= 150%.p1 -> p1=20 -> sufficient
