Scores on GMATPrep are quite representative , and may only give you an inflated score if you have answered questions that you have come across earlier.

Again the second test on your GMATPREP has always been a higher scoring one as compared to the first one, in my expeience , atleast for the first attempt.

I beleieve if you keep your nerves on your test date you may outdo your expected score.. Just take it easy a day before the test..

Best Wishes

A balanced score will serve you better than a lopsided one. So work on your quant in the next 6 days. Do you number theory well . It will help you on test date.

Thanks bhatiagp. I just took my last Kaplan CAT test (#6) and received a 690 (Q40, V51). Would you say that is in-line as well? I have read that Kaplan tests are becoming easier than they had been in the past. I hope the standard 50 points higher is still applicable. Eight more days until test day - I just need to get my Quant score up to make it more in line with verbal (this is odd because I have been in finance for 3+ years).

Thanks again.

What strategies did you apply and what did you use to practice to get V51???? V51 is massive.

bhatiagp,

Any suggestions for number property study materials or practice questions?

MGMAT Number properties will be a big help for you and also do check Number Properties part of GMAT MATH Book created by bunuel & walker. I have posted the pdf of the book. You can download it and do remember divisibility rules & cyclicity etc. I am attaching a document related to Cyclicity in a new post.

I used Knewtons training program, and found it quite helpful. I also used Manhattans guide and its pretty useful and also practiced from the OG and Quant Review guide.

I just finished my second GMATPrep test and received a 740. (Q44, V48). I only missed one verbal question. I am somewhat concerned given my last GMATPrep test I received a 690 (Q44, V40), which was my highest score on practice tests to date and obviously not as high on verbal. I have been receiving 620-660 on Princeton Review and Kaplan tests.

I am aiming for a 710+ on my official test which is in a week. Could my 740 be inflated and give me a false sense of security? Thanks for any comments on similar situations.

Hey,

I'm in a similar situation.

I got 680 on my first GMAT prep, and after a couple of months of studying, I got 760 on GMAT prep 2.

Anyway my exam is in a month so we'll see how the actual score correlates to the prep scores.
