Hey everyone..

a general question - let's say I get accepted to a school in R1 and learn of my acceptance in mid December.. how long do i have to decide if i want to go there and actually pay money as a deposit, or something of that sort..? i'm not talking about Early Decision programs - the regular ones. Is there ever a situation, in which I can hold my position while not paying any monetary deposit to a school i got into in R1, until I learn if i got accepted to a different school in R2?
thanks so much,
Gal

I'm also in the process of applying this year, and based on the schedules posted by several schools you will definitely have the opportunity to find out about R2 decisions before R1 deposits are due.

For example, Duke R1 tuition deposit is due April 5th and the R2 decision notification deadline is March 8th. Similar situation for Michigan.
