It is about Not X but Y.
Only option C follows this.

Abhishek009 thanks for the explanation. I thought that the construction not to (X, Y,Z) but to P is correct.
Another doubt don't we need "and" before analyze?

BARUAH has correctly mentioned the parallelism marker : Not X but Y

Further check a contrast has been marked in the sentence, where the psychologists suggest

Not
    thinking about them,
    worrying about them,
    analyzing them, but
    simply discarding them

Hence And is not required here....
