According to the Royal Gazette, the Bermudian government must reverse [#permalink]

There was a slight typo in one of the answer options(Option B)

Apologize for the confusion. Have corrected the question accordingly.

The OA is B! Please find official explanation provided by Experts Global

daagh generis -
Need some inputs here

In option B - as suggested by experts global - 'becoming is parallel to reaching' and hence the correct option

Just wanted to understand from you that from where should we consider parallel marker to have started.. for me 'from' and 'and' are not idiomatic and hence I took it after enterprises and considered 'from' and 'to' as prepositional marker and hence 'Ok'

My answer choice was A

Thanks in Advance!

1. Performing a risky maneuver that required precision flying, space shuttle astronauts retrieved an orbiting satellite and simultaneously avoided being rear-ended by a passing ultraviolet telescope. ( this is the correct choice) Being is a gerund here and an object of the verb 'avoided'. Hence Being in the context has been accepted by GMAT

2. During the 1950s, as part of their therapy, young polio victims learning to live with their disabilities were helped to practice falling, so that they could learn to fall without being hurt.

Here being is a gerund and an object of the preposition 'without' and hence permissible.

Nevertheless, I'm not clear why the author rejected D while she permitted B, which is almost similar, except for the pronoun 'their'.

Perhaps you may take authentic guidance from the author.
