Hi there - while 3 years of experience upon program entry is on the earlier end, it is by no means a deal-breaker. However, you will want to show the AdCom your early progression - it's a plus if you've been promoted or will have been by the time you apply. In addition to showcasing your professional and personal impact on your resume, you'll want to secure excellent recommendations that speak to your performance, growth, and leadership potential.
Also, your GMAT is good but if you're able to boost it by 10+ points, that could help your competitiveness at the top programs as well (especially since some IB and consulting firms ask for GMAT scores).

Hi:
I have 2 years of engineering experience from a mega oil and gas conglomerate (think Exxon, Chevron). I have worked as a project engineer on a $1 billion chemical plant expansion project. I believe my work experience has set me up real well from a leadership and communication Point
og view.
I plan to get my MBA to get into consulting or Investment Banking. I scored a 710 on my gmat and had a 3.4 Undergraduate GPA in engineering. I also have strong volunteer activities.
How big of a downfall is my 2 years of experience (I will have 3 years by August 2019 when i would like to start MBA)? I am targeting top 15 schools such as: Darden, Tuck, Duke, Kellogg, etc.
