Columbia and Insead have great behavioral faculty. All top schools will of course be almost at par !!

Hi Sorry for being late.

By Tier II schools , I meant those outside top 10 but between top 50. This is totally arbitrary ofcourse!

I have an MBA from the University but am currently working on a Masters Degree in Statistics with a concentration in Business. I'm also applying to PhD programs in marketing this year, so I am pretty familiar with Utah's program. They have some fantastic faculty members.

I'll be happy to answer what ever questions you have or at least direct you to the right people to contact.

Going by your profile I think you would be interested in the Modelling and quant stream in Marketing? I had corresponded with Prof. Russell Belk of Utah regarding an article of his. I'll be very thankful if you direct me to some helpful prof. Where all are you applying? I have a couple of friends doing their Ph.D. in Iowa and Maryland , let me know if you want some info about them.

Russell Belk is the best person to contact at Utah for information about the consumer behavior track. If you have already spoken to him, then you are well on your way. You may want to research the marketing chair - Bill Moore. Although he is focused on quantitative marketing, he is a fantastic professor and will no doubt be a great resource if you end up attending school there.

You are correct; I am interested in a quantitative track within marketing. I don't have either Iowa or Maryland on my list of schools I'm applying to, although the both have great programs.

Best of luck with your applications!

I have tentatively finalised my SOP and was wondering if any of you might be interested to give me a feedback on that?

Sorry I've been absent for the past few weeks. Things have been pretty hectic for me... work, holidays, applications, etc...

Incidentally, I was very impressed with your personal statement. I think you did an excellent job covering all of the requisite elements. It will definitely be an asset to your total application.

Where else are you going to apply to?
