Hi,
I apologise if I am posting this in the wrong forum. But I need some advise on the following:
After one year in my first job, I left the job and studied for the entrance exams of MBA colleges. After 7 months I didnt make it to my desired college, so decided to go for the second job.
I am reporting this gap in my optional essay. But I have no idea of how the add comm. will take this. Any suggestion/strategy how to address this issue?? Frankly I am looking for ideas to make it look better.

Well 'iamwhoiam123,' you are indeed who you are and that is your story, so tell it.
As you did not succeed, it is not a good story to tell, but may be you can find a positive spin to it or something you learned from it. Remember, many applicants work full-time and manage excellent GMAT scores and essays.

BTW, what MBA programs have entrance exams?

Its tough to write about this unless you have a good story from it, exhibiting the things b-schools look for - e.g., leadership, career trajectory, etc.

Good luck!

Thanks ThomaD for your advice... MBA programs I had mentioned are from India...(eg..CAT for IIMs)..
I want to be honest and report this GAP.. One way as you mentioned is to explain the lesson learnt...
Is there any one else having same problem??? how are you tacking it??
