We are talking about the semiconductor industry. The semiconductor industry appears to have made a recovery. B, C, D are out as the correct form is "appears to have". E is out as the correct from is "from X to Y". Hence A. (A) computers and spy satellites to dishwashers, appears to have
(B) computers, spy satellites, and dishwashers, appears having
(C) computers, spy satellites, and dishwashers, appears that it has
(D) computers and spy satellites to dishwashers, appears that it has
(E) computers and spy satellites as well as dishwashers, appears to have

Is the subject of the sentence plural or singular?

Since "from" is kept out of the underlined part, we need "to " to close the structure "from.....to ....." --> A and D stand.
"appears to have" is correct

A it is.

Appears to have is correct as the subject is singular. But what caught my attention was the comparisons made.
Though I would have been inclined to say that it should be computers to spy …
But there was no such option.

I saw the OA to be A and most members agree with it, but I have the following doubt; Shouldn't it be nation’s semiconductor industry,xyz..., appears that it has. isn't has singular. "though appears to have " sounds good but I have the above doubt.
